Family:
Ankylosauridae. Ankylosaurids usually had a thick armour plating of fused bone and an enlarged mass of bone forming a “club” on the end of their tails.
Finding:
North America: Alberta, Montana
Features:
It had the “standard” ankylosaur body plan: it was a large quadrupedal animal covered with armor plates or knobs, its limbs were about equal in size, and its head and neck were short. Euoplocephalus had two pyramid-shaped horns growing from the back of its head. The tail was held out and didn’t drag on the ground.
